“A Pinch of Snuff” is a story has been written by Manohar Malgonkar. It is a very interesting and entertaining story. In this story, the writer explained the character of his maternal uncle Nanukaka, who always tell a lie and cheats on others in his own way. He comes to Delhi at his sister’s house to meet the minister but the narrator does not want Nanukaka to come but at his mother’s insistence, he takes leave from the office and undeservingly Narrator goes to the railway station to receive his maternal uncle.

Nanukaka travelled second class carriage at the third class ticket. So, he was caught by the ticket checker but managed the problem easily. Nanukaka wanted to meet a minister. So, he went to see the minister but he did not get any appointment to get in touch with the minister while he is called for a meeting with the minister after three days.

At last, Nanukaka plays a trick to fulfil his selfish aim at seeing a minister and he really succeeded in doing so. He tells his sister’s son to hire a Royal car and pretends to be his driver. He catches a motor and took a Royal car to serve his evil purpose. Nanukaka wanted to meet the minister. So, he himself dressed like an Astrologer and again reaches the residence of the minister.

In the visitors’ book, he writes his false address showing himself as the “Hereditary Astrologer to the Maharaja of Ninnore.” As soon as the minister sees that address, he becomes very restless to see the Astrologer.

At last, the welfare minister himself came to meet him at the residence of Nanukaka. Thus, Nanukaka sees the minister very easily. Really th is story is full of humour and seems very real.

“एक चुटकी सूंघनी“, मनोहर मालगोंकर द्वारा लिखित एक कहानी है। यह बहुत ही रोचक और मनोरंजक कहानी है। इस कहानी में, लेखक ने अपने मामा नानूकाका के चरित्र की व्याख्या की, जो हमेशा झूठ बोलते हैं और दूसरों को अपने तरीके से धोखा देते हैं। वे मंत्री से मिलने के लिए अपनी बहन के घर दिल्ली आते है लेकिन कहानीकार नानुकाका का आना नहीं आना चाहता है लेकिन अपनी माँ के आग्रह पर, वह कार्यालय से छुट्टी लेता है और अवांछनीय रूप से वह अपने मामा को लेने के लिए रेलवे स्टेशन जाता है।

नानूकाका ने तीसरी श्रेणी के टिकट पर दूसरी श्रेणी की बोगी की यात्रा की। इसलिए, वह टिकट चेकर द्वारा पकड़े गए लेकिन आसानी से समस्या का प्रबंधन किया। नानूकाका एक मंत्री से मिलना चाहता थे। इसलिए, वह मंत्री को देखने गए लेकिन उन्हें मंत्री के संपर्क में आने के लिए कोई नियुक्ति नहीं मिली, जबकि उन्हें तीन दिनों के बाद मंत्री से मिलने के लिए बुलाया जाता है।

अंत में, नानूकाका मंत्री से मिलकर अपने स्वार्थी उद्देश्य को पूरा करने के लिए एक चाल चलते हैं और वह वास्तव में ऐसा करने में सफल गए। वह अपनी बहन के बेटे को एक रॉयल कार किराए पर लेने के लिए कहते है और उनका ड्राइवर बनने का दिखावा करने को कहते है। उन्होंने अपने बुरे उद्देश्य की पूर्ति के लिए एक मोटर पकड़ी और एक रॉयल कार ली। नानुकाका मंत्री से मिलना चाहते थे। इसलिए, उन्होंने खुद एक ज्योतिषी की तरह कपड़े पहने और फिर से मंत्री के आवास पर पहुँचे।

आगंतुकों की पुस्तक में, वह अपना झूठा पता लिखते हुए खुद को “निन्नोर के महाराजा का हेरेडियेटर ज्योतिषी” बताते हैं। जैसे ही मंत्री उस पते को देखता है, वह ज्योतिषी को देखने के लिए बहुत बेचैन हो जाता है।

अंत में, कल्याण मंत्री खुद नानूकाका के आवास पर उनसे मिलने आए। इस प्रकार, नानूकाका मंत्री से बहुत आसानी से मिल लेते है। वाकई यह कहानी हास्य से भरपूर है और बहुत वास्तविक लगती है।
